I spent some time in January thinking about my past, present and future and made a few notes about my accomplishments and failures. This process is really useful for me, it allows me to get all the rubbish out of my head and onto a piece of paper where I can see it. Once I have done this, it almost feels as if a weight has been lifted and I can now see things clearly again.

One topic that comes up year after year is weight management or weight loss. I prefer the term weight management these days because to be honest, I have lost a lot of weight and now its more about managing myself and my body. So for example, I want to be a bit more toned these days so I will try to build some more muscle around my frame. This means I need to think about changing my gym routine slightly so that I can begin to include more weights into my workouts, plus I will probably do more classes such as body pump or even yoga – I heard that’s great for toning up!
